I’m delighted to return to Saṅgha Live’s Sunday Saṅgha, with a guided meditation, Dharma teaching and Q&A. Freely offered on a donation/dāna basis.

Seeing the Dhamma: How Practice Leads to Understanding
5 Thursdays, May 22 – June 19 | 4-5:30pm Pacific
New York Insight, online
Path Class 3 | In this series we will explore the core analytical lists of the marks, defilements, aggregates, and sense bases. The heart of this study is the practice of applied mindfulness, where we bring persistent, loving attention to the world as we experience it, with the aim to see how it works and be free of its snares.
You do not have to have taken the other courses in the series to take this one, and beginners are welcome.

Breath, Body, and Awakening: Practicing the Ānāpānasati Sutta
5 Thursdays, Jul 10 – Aug 7 | 1-3pm Pacific
Spirit Rock, Online
The class is part of our ongoing Pāli Canon study series, The Refuge of Dhamma: Exploring the Buddha’s Discourses. In this series we’ll read and practice with the Ānāpānasati Sutta (MN 118), the Buddha’s original instructions for the practice of mindfulness of breathing.

The Dharma talk by Sean Oakes was one of the best and most insightful that I have heard in a very long time. His presentation was so clear and it presented a new point of view that I had not thought about. Not all suffering is the same.
