You Become Your Costume, so Choose Wisely

Tonight will take a break from our technical walk-through of ānāpānasati for a dispatch from the trick-or-treat zone. The Halloween themed nature-of-self-and-suffering inquiry goes like this:

Costumes are pretending, but they have real power
When you pretend to be something you have to act like it as well for it to be interesting/fun/powerful
When you act like something, you invite those mind states/spirits in
And if you act like something regularly, it/they starts to seep into your "not-pretending" personality
So... choose your costume wisely. What you pretend to be, you become.
