The Not-Self Teaching

Last week we looked at, and chanted, the Buddha's first discourse, Setting in Motion the Wheel of the Dhamma. In the week following that first teaching, during which Ven. Añña Kondañña experienced Stream-Entry, the Buddha gave teachings on the characteristic of selflessness (or "not-self"), leading to all 5 of his friends becoming liberated. Tonight we'll look at this important second teaching, and how it follows logically from the first.
