Gotama Intuits Embodiment & the Middle Way

The Buddha's approach to meditation was deeply embodied and somatic. Although he was trained in abstract, formless meditation techniques, he abandoned them along with self-harming ascetic practices when he had an intuition about a way to meditate that he stumbled into as a child. We talk about his path and practice through the lens of embodiment, and how we can approach our practice in a way that keeps intimacy with the body central and powerful.
