Discernment Around Mixing Dharma Traditions

A question in our community sharing time led to a conversation about how to orient toward different Dharma traditions in the contemporary West. We talked about the history of meditation practices a bit, and about how different meditation instructions may be best seen in relation to their cultural context and rituals, and not so easily abstracted out of them. Essentially a suggestion toward discernment, and keeping distinct instructions distinct.
