Meditation: Feeling into Long Time

Recorded at Insight Meditation Satsang

Online,

August 13, 2024

DESCRIPTION
Meditations generally include 10-20 minutes of guided instruction and 10-15 minutes of silence, followed by a closing chant. The closing chants vary, but most often I do the “Homage to the Buddha”:

Namo tassa bhagavato arahato sammāsambuddhasa (3x)
Homage to the blessed, noble, and perfectly enlightened one (3x)

Other chants include common short passages in Pāli from the Forest Sangha tradition, or mantras from the Mahāyāna tradition such as the invocation of the name of Kuan Yin:

Namo Kuan Shr Yin Pusa
I return my life to the greatly compassionate one, who listens at ease to the sounds of the world
